12 Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord. 13 It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’
The Prophet Zechariah says that the God will send someone called ‘Branch’ (a word that means a new growth on a plant) will rebuild the Temple (House of God in the Old Testament).
Here again we see another prophet talking about Jesus Christ hundreds of years before his birth!

Pray:
Thank you, Father, that Jesus is the ‘Branch’ prophesied by Zechariah. Thank you that Jesus has come to rebuild the temple by rising from the dead on the third day. Help us to remember that all of the Bible points to the coming of Jesus.
