4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[c] Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
Happy Christmas!
In his letter to the people who lived in Galatia, Paul clearly explains why Jesus Christ came into the world. Jesus was born so that we could be adopted as children to God! When a person is adopted they are allowed to become part of another family. Every Christian has become part of God’s family through Jesus coming into the world and dying for us – that’s the most wonderful Christmas present.
